(22543) Ranjan is the official name (governed by the International Astronomical Union) of a minor planet between Mars and Jupiter.
The planet was named after Sukrit Ranjan by the Ceres Connection at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory. This was done in recognition of his success in the 2006 Intel Science Talent Search (ISTS).
